Great spacious room, but check-in staff could be a bit brusque.

The place was fairly clean with a pleasant and amazingly nice staff. The rooms were newly furnished and large and the takeaway breakfast was delicious. There was a bath, a plus for me. All in all my stay was very nice, no reason to complain.

The hotel was pretty standard and modern, we would definitely recommend it to others. Fairly clean place and perfect location, appreciated skilled and knowledgeable staff;))

The room was spacious and well-equipped, but the
Hallways were a bit confusing to navigate at first. Despite this, I appreciated the rapid check-in and found the breakfast options to be vast and delicious. The evening dining experience felt a bit generic, though.

We would have loved to stay here longer. :-) Large, modern rooms with super comfortable box spring beds. :-) The bathroom is a dream .. with bathtub and shower plus relaxing rain shower. :-) WiFi worked quickly and flawlessly. The breakfast was the finest ... super tasty and really with everything you could want for breakfast. The entire hotel staff was very accommodating and nice. Also worth mentioning is the huge, free parking lot, where you can also find a PP late at night. We felt very comfortable and can recommend the hotel with a clear conscience and without any ifs and buts. The next time we visit, we will be happy to book this hotel again. Thank you for a wonderful stay at the Van der Valk Hotel Hengelo. :-)

Large, modern swimming pool area, accessibility features, amenities for electric vehicles
The confusing layout with long corridors requires better signage!!! A lack of irons and ironing boards in rooms is disappointing!!! Bathrooms need better sink designs for practical use!!!

very helpfull service of the staff ; we chose the hotel also for the possible late check in time ; it would be a good idea to mention on the website that it is possible to check in all night .

It is a good hotel but you can do a small thing to do it better. Hotel restaurant is perfect. Our room was good but you will have your own wam up in your room.
The lights in the bathroom. You could'nt see your eyes then you should do your make up. The prices for the breakfast is to high. 2 person - 2 nights kost 50 EUR. You can buy a lot of food fot that.

The spacious room impressed me with its clean, modern design and a large bathroom with both a bath and separate shower. Breakfast offered a vast selection, including tasty smoothies, which I really enjoyed. The bar area was cosy and inviting. Unfortunately, the common areas were let down by the stale smoke smell from nearby smoking lounges. The check-in staff could be a bit brusque, impacting the warm welcome expected in a hotel of this caliber. While the food quality was decent, the portion sizes were quite excessive, leading to plenty of food waste. The atmosphere during busy dining hours felt noisy with a lot of children around, made meals a bit less enjoyable.

Really close to where my wife had her business appointment with free abundant parking. Free parking is rare in most hotels in Europe. Also very easy to get to from the A1. Plus, the restaurant was open late, with a "sit wherever you'd like" attitude. Getting to a hotel late in the day can be a challenge if you then are looking for a decent meal. The menu selection was more than adequate as well .
